Business Expo 2010 – A Shawano Chamber event 

The Shawano Country Chamber of Commerce will be holding its “Business Expo” at The Gathering on Thursday, October 7 from 1:00-6:00 p.m.  If we participate, we will be in need of people to help man the booth…Diane will be in WI Dells for WBA Board Meetings that day.  If you are interested in helping or for more info, please contact Diane.

 

Thank You’s Received… 

Thank you’s have been received from the area schools that had students receive scholarships, as well as from two of the students who were the recipients of a scholarship. 

Mike Buchholz from Bonduel High School will be attending UW-Stout this fall.  Lukas DeCleene attended Oconto High School and will be attending NWTC-Green Bay.  Both thank you’s will be available at the next general membership meeting.

 

WRBA Golf Outing – Major Sponsor 

We are looking for a Major Sponsor for the 2011 WRBA Golf Outing to be held on Aug. 10^th at the Golden Sands Golf Course.

The $300 Sponsorship of the outing would include your business name on all flyers for the outing, recognition in the monthly newsletter, signage at the golf outing, sponsor of one of the holes and the option to man that hole if you would like to, recognition at the awards/membership dinner after the outing, and mention in the following month’s newsletter.

WRBA Survey 

It has been brought to our attention that many local communities have their meetings on the 2^nd Tuesday of every month as we do.  I will be putting together a survey to find out if we can gain any members in attendance by possibly switching our meeting to the 1^st Tuesday, 3^rd Tuesday, or possibly if there is a better day of the week.  I will also be looking for input on a few other items.  Please complete and return the survey when you receive it so that your thoughts will be included in the results.
