Activities Committee
Thank
you to Trish Kieckhafer from Stone Creations of Wisconsin for the
donation of a door prize for our May meeting! If anyone is
interested in donating a door prize for our meetings, let Diane know! You will be acknowledged in the next newsletter.
The
next meeting will be our Sporting Clays Outing. An informational flyer was mailed the end of May and is also included with this
letter. We are looking for “Station” sponsors for this
outing. There will be 12 stations to shoot from, (a total of 50
targets) and for $25 you can sponsor one of those stations. We will
provide a sign for the course with your business name on it, as well as recognizing your business during the
meeting and in the next newsletter.
Come and join us for a
round of sporting clays! If you don’t shoot, come and join us for
the networking, a great meal, and a short meeting! The meal will be served at approximately 6:45 for this meeting to allow plenty
of time for participants to complete the Sporting Clays Course.
Please remember to RSVP!
We also
have our Pig Roast and Golf Outing coming up this summer! Hope to
see you at these fun summer events.

Advertising Committee
Our
main advertising campaign with the Shawano Shopper’s Guide is a quarterly program and in the 2nd
quarter at this point. We get the full front page of the Shopper
once per month, giving you prime business card size advertising space for $110 per quarter (three
issues).
If you are unfamiliar with our program, contact Karen Theis for
more information. Karen will be filling the 3rd Qtr
campaign soon (July, Aug, & Sept). If you are interested in “guaranteeing” your spot and would like to pay once a
year rather than every quarter, WRBA offers a 5% discount to our “annual subscribers”.

Education Committee
Another Lead-Safe Renovator Training has been scheduled for June 3, to be held at
Dennisons Retail Lumber from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. A flyer to promote this class was mailed May
24th. If you did not receive it and need more
information you can check the WRBA website or contact John Maule or Diane. 8 hours of continuing education credits are available with this
class. Lunch is provided on site.
If you
know of someone who is interested in taking the class, have them give me a call and I can add them to the
“waiting list” I have. We may be able to get two classes on the
books if there is enough interest.
This training is a requirement for anyone doing work in
homes built before 1978 and disturbing more than six sq. feet of interior space or 20 sq. feet of exterior space
including remodeling, repairs, rehab, weatherization, painting, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, window refinishing, carpentry, etc!
Cost is $225 for WBA members, $275 for
non-members. To find out about other classes available in the area,
please go to www.wisbuild.org.
