Thank you also to the following members who sold raffle tickets:   Bohm Builders, Cellcom, CoVantage C.U., Crossroads Custom Cabinetry, Dennisons Retail, Dynamic Designs, Gary’s Doors, Gorman Plumbing, Heins Appliance, Kerber, Rose & Assoc., Knope Heating & A/C, LJ Sperberg, KPT Carpenters, Maule Construction, Raddant Electric, Rosenow Concrete, Sandy Drive Remodeling, Schoenike Crane, Sherwin-Williams, Stone Creations, Top Shelf Builders, Torborg’s, V & S Builders, VG Builders, Wallrich Agency, Wolf River Habitat and Zachow Plumbing.  A hearty round of applause to all of you – whether you sold them to others or purchased them yourselves, we appreciate it!

Activities Committee

Thank you to Cellcom/Jenny Olson for the donation of a couple of door prizes for our April meeting!  If anyone is interested in donating a door prize for our meetings, let Diane know!  You will be acknowledged in the next newsletter.

The next meeting will be May 11th at The Golden Sands Golf Course in Cecil.   Come and join us for networking, an informational meeting and a great meal!  Please remember to RSVP! We also have our Sporting Clays Outing, Pig Roast and Golf Outing coming up this summer!  Hope to see you there!

Advertising Committee

Our main advertising campaign with the Shawano Shopper’s Guide is a quarterly program and in the 2nd quarter at this point.  We get the full front page of the Shopper once per month, giving you prime business card size advertising space for $110 per quarter (three issues).  If you are interested in “guaranteeing” your spot and would like to pay once a year rather than every quarter, WRBA offers a 5% discount to our “annual subscribers”.  Call Karen for more information.

Education Committee

Another Lead-Safe Renovator Training will be scheduled soon.  WBA Foundation has been busy trying to keep up with all of the requests.   I am hoping to have dates by the May 9th meeting. If you know of someone who is interested in taking the class, have them give me a call and I can add them to the “waiting list” I have.  We may be able to get two classes on the books if there is enough interest.

This training is a requirement for anyone doing work in homes built before 1978 and disturbing more than six sq. feet of interior space or 20 sq. feet of exterior space including remodeling, repairs, rehab, weatherization, painting, electrical,  plumbing, HVAC, window refinishing, carpentry, etc!

Cost is $225 for WBA members, $275 for non-members.  To find out about other classes available in the area, please go to www.wisbuild.org.
