Shawano County Planning, Development & Zoning Committee
again brought their proposal for permit and other fee increases back
to the County Board for approval at the September 23rd County Board Meeting. The County Board meeting opened with public comments from WRBA representatives
protesting the fee hikes, with District 19 Supervisor Steve Gueths and
District 7 Supervisor Gene Hoppe echoing those concerns.
For the second time this year, the board voted down the increases.
The next meeting scheduled regarding the Shawano County Zoning Code Update will be on October 27th and
will include prioritizing directions for residential zoning standards and also questions and responses regarding
non-residential zoning standards.
