Cellcom introduces their first Windows 7 Phone
Submitted by Cellcom
Cellcom recently launched the HTC 7 Pro. This is the first
device in the Cellcom line-up with the Windows 7 operating system. This new operating system has improved on the
previous Windows Mobile™ platform with several notable features: a glance-and-go set-up, hubs to bring related
items together in one place and other features designed to make life easier.
Glance and Go – the start screen features live tiles that are customizable
and easy to move around. These tiles give quick access to features that you use the most – messages, calendar
items, news, weather, or friends’ status updates. You can pin any favorites to the start for easy
access.
Designed to do more in fewer steps
·
Dedicated search button
– No matter where you are in your phone, you
can press the search button and find what you are looking for.
·
One-touch camera –
The camera button allows you to snap photos
fast, even if your phone is locked. You can then send your favorites to friends or post them to
Facebook.
·
Outlook Mobile – Easily sort, scan and manage your email. Move or delete
messages in bulk and respond to meeting invites right from your inbox. Account set-up works with Google, Yahoo,
Windows Live and other popular providers, as well as, Microsoft Exchange accounts.
Hubs help by bringing related things together in one
place
·
People Hub – Features all of your contacts and all their information, so
you can call, text, and get Facebook updates from a single source. It also features a “Me Card” to update your
status or change your profile picture across multiple social networking sites, right from your phone.
·
Office Mobile Hub – Windows Phone 7 has the mobile versions of Word, Excel and
PowerPoint on hand for reviewing or editing on the go.
·
Pictures Hub – This hub houses not only photos you’ve taken, but photos
you’ve saved to your phone and pictures your friends have recently posted on Facebook.
·
Music + Video Hub – Play music from your collection, download new tunes from
Marketplace, customize your playlists and recommend favorite songs to friends from this hub, which also features a
built-in FM radio.
·
Marketplace Hub – The place to shop for music, games, TV shows, movies
podcasts, and of course apps. It is available on your phone and desktop computer. Many items are free and some
feature a “try before you buy” function.
·
Games Hub – An on-the-go arcade that features a variety of games and
easily integrates with Xbox Live so you can play with friends.
